《牛津小学英语》6A Unit 3 It Was There   说课稿
第一课时(Period one)
Good morning, everyone. Today I’ll talk about Unit3  Oxford  Primary English Book 6:  It was there. I’ll finish this unit in three lessons, today I’ll talk about the first period of the unit.
    This period provides the new words: excited, moment, ago, glasses, mobile phone. The new phrases: just now, sports day. When learning the new words and new phrases, the Ss will come into contact with the new pattern: where’s your ….? It’s on/in/near/behind/under the …. It isn’t there now. It was there a moment ago. Where are your ……? They’re in/on/near/behind/under the …. They aren’t there now. They were there a moment ago. As we know there isn't a long history that the Ss have learnt  English in the primary school, so the main instructional aims of teaching English is to cultivate the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking and the synthetic abilities of communication, co-operation and investigation, and to cultivate their good sense of  English. My teaching content of this unit is to learn some new words and pattern. And the aims to the knowledge are to enable the Ss to read, spell the new words and understand the meaning of the new words; to help the Ss learn the new pattern: Where be your ……? It/They be/be not …; and to enable the Ss to communicate with the others using new pattern. The aims to the abilities are to improve the Ss’ ability of listening and speaking and to encourage the Ss to communicate with the others actively. The aims to the emotion of this lesson is to educate the Ss to be polite and helpful to the others. I make the key points of this unit are to enable the Ss master the new words; to enable the Ss study in groups and co-operate with the others; to arouse the Ss’ interest in English.
    To cultivate the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, to increase the Ss’ ability of learning English by themselves and to arouse their interest ,in this period , I’ll use the teaching methods are Communication method and Task-based method. I’ll set up a real situation, in this way, the Ss can say in pairs or in groups, they can say freely and needn’t worry about making mistakes.
    In this lesson, the PPT, some pictures will be used.
   At firet I will let the Ss Sing a song <<Where’s my diary>>. After that I will make a free talk between the T-S , S-S.  
This step is to form a better situation for the students by singing and speaking. They will come into the  real surrounding of English learning, And it can also review the learnt knowledge for the next step.
Then we will Learn the new words of this unit. I will shows a big picture of a sitting-room by PPT. Then write down the words on the blackboard .Ask them to read and spell ,pay attention to the pronunciation and Show some pictures of the sitting-room, ask sb to say. At last I will guide them to make a short dialogue and practice with their partners.
      This step is not to present the new words one by one, just with the help of the PPT and the pictures, it can provide a real situation to understand the meaning of the words and to arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning. A competition can encourage them to try by themselves and improve their ability of learning.
       After that we will have a guess game .The PPT shows a part of a mobile phone. Let the Ss guess it. Ask them to guess and give them a smiling face or a crying face. There can be a competition between the groups. Using the structure: Where is it? It is …../It isn’t there now. It was there a moment ago. Then let the Ss work in pairs,ask them to make a dialogue with their partners. They can speak to several classmates who they want to co-operate with, so they can walk freely in the class.
      This part is very important of the lesson. The Ss’ abilities of speaking and communication will be well trained. Use the PPT to set a real surrounding and encourage the Ss to communicate with the others. They can say loudly and freely .They will feel happy and successful during this part. By way of communication, the Ss will understand the meaning of the structure better and master the knowledge firmly.
The purpose of play and act is to make the Ss consolidate this lesson.
     This part is the consolidation of the key structure, and also is an extensive activity for the Ss. During this part, the Ss can think and say by themselves, they will be glad to use the knowledge they have learnt, and their creative power will be well trained.
The homework of thie lesson is read and copy the new words (Part B)
