Aims and demands.
The main function items in the Unit are talking about hobbies, and require the Ss express others’ hobbies correctly.
Time arrangement
This Unit can be divided into five periods. 1.B,C,F 2.C,D 3.A,G 4.E,H 5.revision and exercise
The First Period

II. Aims and demands
1. Four skilled words and phrases: collect stamps/coins, go shopping, take photos
2. To understand and use the sentence patterns “Do you have any hobbies? Yes, I do. I like…” correctly.
3.To do a survey in class or do it after class

1. To use the phrases of Part B correctly
2. Correctly listen ,write, and say the sentence patterns

1. Teaching materials
a. wall pictures of Part B
b. a paper of the survey
c. a tape recorder and the tape
V. Steps and methods
A. Free talk
a. eg : Good morning! how are you? Nice to see you.
(show some animal cards or some fruit.)Do you like apples/ pears/dogs…? Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
b. The students act out the dialogues.
B. Presentations
1. Show the pictures and say the phrases: collect stamps, make clothes, take photos
2. .the teacher can show the pictures and ask: What’s he doing? He’s going shopping. And present other phrases: make model ships, keep goldfish, grow flowers, etc.
3. the Ss listen to the tape and read after the tape.
4. The teacher can practise the sentence patterns using the phrases.
C. Practice
1. Guess the phrases by one’s body languages
2. Make the dialogue with the sentence patterns and phrases or we can say other phrases, such as: play football/ draw pictures/ sing/ play the guitar …
3. show the survey paper and do the survey
eg. teacher can make the dialogue “Do you have any hobbies?
Yes, I do. I like ….”with Ss and then tell the Ss how to do the survey. Or Ss finish the survey after class.
