二、教学目标:
1. 进一步掌握春节,劳动节,儿童节,端午节,中秋节等中国节日的名称及其相关活动.
2. 掌握句型When’s ...? It’s on / in...? What do people usually do… at/on ...? They… Did you...on/ at...? Yes, I did/No, I didn’t . 并能灵活利用这些句型谈论节日。
3. 感受诗的韵律,优美地进行朗读.
4. 掌握字母组合oo的读音.

五、设计理念:
小学英语教学提倡活动式教学,其目的是让学生在不同的语言活动中感受、理解、记忆并运用语言,让学生在活动中积极参与、大胆实践,达到学以致用的学习效果。而且多媒体技术的运用能激发学生的学习兴趣,能创设有利于激发和支持学生想象的情境。它设置了较多的与课堂内容关系密切的视频、动画、图片,给学生以乐趣,更给学生启迪,为学生创设了自主学习情境,提高了教学效率。
六、设计思路:节日的教学并不难,单纯的听说读写学生很容易就能掌握,但对于六年级学生来说,他们对节日的理解不能只停留在表面的认知上,最主要的是让他们能用英语直接思维.本课顺应这一思路,联系学生的生活和实际,采用多种形式的教学手段,精心设计各项活动,训练学生的英语思维能力,实现知识能力的共同发展.

(设计意图:上课伊始,与学生亲切自然的相互问候,使学生快速进入学习英语的氛围;采用特殊的日子这一话题,为顺利引出节日做了良好的铺垫。)

What holidays do you know?
4. What are holidays in China? (Bb: Holidays in China)
5. These holidays are popular in China.
Teach: popular
…is a popular holiday in China. (Bb: the names of five holidays in Part E.)
6. When’s …? (Bb: the dates of the holidays)
7. What do people usually do in these holidays? Choose one to discuss in groups.
The students get the answers and put the phrases on the Bb.
(设计意图:通过一连串提问让学生利用已有信息进行回答,并将小组合作的成果贴上黑板,是学生已有知识的运用与展示。)
Step3. Part E
Know more about the holidays.
(1) Go through the passage in Part E and write the names of the holidays.
(2) Try to get more activities about what people do in these holidays.

(设计意图:将新旧知识融合,利用板书信息组合成一段话,自主介绍一个节日,通过这样的活动让学生把所学知识运用于实际,使不同程度的学生都有成就感,增强自信心,增加学习英语的兴趣。)
Step4. Part F
Ask: “Did you… on/ at …?” to show the game “Bingo!”.

Step5. Part G&H
1. Listen and guess what their favourite holidays are.
(设计意图:听力练习,巩固新授,培养学生获取有效信息的能力,发展听的技能。)
2. Enjoy the rhyme: It’s Spring Festival again! (Rewrite the rhyme. Add the sentences in Part G into the rhyme.)
(1) Listen to the rhyme.
(2) Try to read the rhyme.
(3) Learn some new words: tangerine, smell, full of, joy, enjoy.
(4) Note the rhyme words.
(5) From the rhyme words “afternoon”, “cartoon”, get the pronounciation of “oo” [u:]. Find other words “oo” pronounced [u:].
(6) Read the rhyme again. Try to read it beautifully.
(设计意图:通过反复聆听,诵读,感受诗歌的韵律, 将语音部分的句子融入诗歌,利用诗歌的韵脚总结归纳出字母组合的读音.)
Step6. Production
Write a short passage about favourite holidays.
