Teaching aims:

3. FUNCTION: Can introduce facial features in English correctly.
Teaching importance:  
Can listen, speak and understand the words and the sentences correctly.

Teaching preparation:
Word cards, pictures and disc.
Teaching procedure:
Step1 Pre-task Preparation
1. Greetings
2. Sing songs and say rhymes
Sing a song together.
Say the rhyme《At a snack bar》
3. Say and act.
  Try to change the words, make another rhyme.
PURPOSE:Warm up and adjust the atmosphere, let Ss come into English world.
4. Free talk
Lead to the topic.
T: Look, what’s this?
S: It’s a cake / pie / …..
T: I like pies.
T: Do you like pies?
(Lead Ss to answer: Yes or no.)
  PURPOSE Review the words and the sentences and prepare for the next step.
Step2 Presentation
1. Learn the new words
T shows some pictures to Ss.
T: What can you see?
S: I can see some cakes, hot dogs…
T: Do you like…s?
2. Teach the words:
  Teach:like---/ai/  
Write on the blackboard.
T and Ss play the game together.
Learn the new words:
bread --/e/ rice--/ai./    milk--/i/     juice--/u: /
Game: What’s missing?
3. Show the pictures and read after T.
4. Read the new words together five times.
Ss read it in whole class, group by group, one by one, low voice to loud voice.
PURPOSE:
1. Learn the new words and help them remember the words freely and strongly.
2. Play a game, thus can arouse Ss' attention and interest.
3. Increase Ss' interest in learning English.
Step3 Practice
1. Listen to the tape
Listen to the tape, and then read after it.
2. Ask and answer.
  T: Bread, bread, who likes bread?
S: Bread, bread, I like bread.
T: Have some bread, please.
S :( T helps the student say out the sentence: OK.Thanks.)
T: Rice, rice, who likes rice?
S: Rice, rice, I like rice.
T: Have some rice, please.
S: OK, thanks.
T: Dog, dog, who likes dogs?...
3. Read the sentence: OK, thanks.
4. Say a rhyme.
5. Ss make a rhyme.
PURPOSE:Help Ss remember the words and the dialogue strongly and develop their abilities of thinking and speaking.
Step4 Homework
1. Read the new words five times.
2. Listen to the tape and make a rhyme.

教学后记:
首先,在“Warming up”开场阶段,先让学生 “Sing an English song.”,并配以优美的动作,调动学生身心,使之进入角色,既使学生的紧张情绪得以松弛,促教学动静结合,又为语言的操练提供了语境。接着让学生根据老师的要求Say and act,通过自编儿歌复习以前所学单词,让课堂一开始就充满了英语气氛,既复习了旧知,为学习新知作准备
