Teaching procedure:
Step1 Pre-task Preparation
1. Sing songs and say rhymes
One student comes to the front and lead Ss to sing songs and say rhymes.
2. Greetings
T greets Ss and Ss greet T.
PURPOSE:Warm up and adjust the atmosphere, let Ss come into English world.
3. Review the words
T shows word cards to Ss, and let them read the words together.
T: Look, what’s this?
S: It’s a gift/ bell /…
T: The gift/bell/…is for you.
S: Thank you.
PURPOSE:Warm up and adjust the atmosphere, let Ss come into English world.
Step2 Presentation
1. T: Do you know what holiday is coming?
S:圣诞节。
T: Yes, Christmas is coming.
(Teach: Christmas.)
2. Talk about Christmas.
3. T: Christmas, what will you say to your classmates?
S:圣诞快乐!
T: Yes.Merry Christmas!
(Teach: Merry Christmas!)
4. Practise with their partners, say “Merry Christmas!” to each other.
5. Listen to the song: Merry Christmas!
6. T: Now Father Christmas is coming. He is giving presents to SuHai and SuYang.Let’s watch the video and see what present Father Christmas gives to them.
7. Watch the video.
8. Student answers the question: A bell.
