Unit 9 The English Club
教学目标:
1.        能听懂、会说、会读、会拼写单词China, Chinese, USA, UK, American, British, English。
2. 能听懂、会说、会读句型Where are you from? I’m from…I’m…I speak…
3. 能听懂、会说、会读单词club, a visitor, New York, different, a country及句型Are you from different countries? I’d like to visit it.
4 初步理解对话内容,并能朗读对话。
5 了解所学国家的代表性建筑,拓展英语文化视野,进一步增加学习英语的兴趣。
教学用具:多媒体课件,录音机
教学设计:
Step 1. Revision
1.        Greetings between T and Ss.
2.        Free talks between T and Ss, revise the sentences freely
eg: What’s your hobbies? What animals do you like? How do you spend your weekends? What do you usually do on…? etc.
Step 2. Presentation
1.        Teach the words of “English Club”, “visit” and “visitor”.
(1) T: Boys and girls, have you ever visited an English before? I often go to the English club, let’s go and visit our English Club, OK?
(2) Teach the words of “English Club”.
(3) Teach the words of “visit” and “visitor”.
2.        Teach the words of “China” and “Chinese”.
(1) T: Who’s the friend in our English club? ( He’s Liu Xiang.) Where is Liu Xiang from? (He’s from China.)
(2) Teach the word of “China”.
(3) T: Where are you from? Which city is the capital of China? (Learn the word of “city”.)
3.        Teach the words of “USA”, “American” and “English”.
(1) T: Who’s our second friend? He’s very tall. He plays basketball very well. He’s black. (Michael Jordan)
(2) T: Where is Michael Jordan from? (Teach the word of “the USA”) He’s American. (Teach the word of “American”)
(3) Ask and answer: Where are you from?/I’m from the USA. I’m American. I speak English.
(4) T: Which city is the capital of the USA?
4. Teach the words of “UK”, “British” in the same way.
5. Teach the word of “different”.
T: They are from different countries.
Step 3. Listen and say
1.        Listen to the tape and answer me these questions:
(1)        Where is Tony White from?
(2)        Where does he live?
(3)         How many children are there? Who are they?
2. Listen and answer.
3. Check the answers.
Step 4. Play a game
(1) Yao Ming:He’s from_______. He’s______. He speaks_______.
(2) Micky Mouse : He’s from_____. He’s____. He speaks______.
(3) Tom and Jerry: They’re from___. They’re____. They speak___.
Step 5. Consolidation
