教材分析
1. 万圣节是西方的一个重要节日,通过本课的学习,学生要了解万圣节的日期、由来、哪些国家的人过万圣节、如何过万圣节及过万圣节需要的物品。学生在学习课文前,必需要对万圣节背景知识有所了解。教师要在教学中渗透文化意识。
2.        课文由三部分组成:背景介绍――讨论万圣节所需物品――购买万圣节所需物品。学生在三、四年级时都学过有关购物的知识,所以我认为本节课的重点不在于购物环节,而在于了解万圣节的背景知识和讨论万圣节所需物品。

Step 1. Greetings
1.Sing a song “We can sing and dance”.
2.T:Good afternoon.
How are you this afternoon?
I’m fine, too.
Boys and girls, let’s play a game first. Look and guess.
Now look at these pictures, and guess “What is it?”
S:It’s a mask /vase/duck/
T: Can you spell “vase/horse/chicken/duck/pig”?
Do you like …s?
Can it sing/dance/swim?
What can it do?
What kind of masks do you like? Tiger mask? Dog mask? Pig mask? Or clown mask?
Show them.
Show them a pumpkin lantern. Guess “What is it?”

解释:每逢万圣节当天,西方国家 都会举行大型游行活动。街头到处挂满了面目狰狞鬼脸,商店门外的音箱不时发出鬼怪凄厉的叫声, 整个城市充满鬼声鬼气。为了赶走在他们四周游荡的妖魔,人们戴着可怕的面具,打扮成动物或鬼怪。孩子们则提着南瓜灯,挨家讨糖吃。
4.What do people need for a Halloween party? Teach “need”./i:/

教学后记:
本课学习的主要内容是西方的一个重要节日――万圣节。新的<<课标>>要求教师的教学能帮助学生了解世界和中西方文化的差异,拓展视野,因此,学生通过本课的学习不仅要掌握语言知识,而且要懂得并理解这一西方重大节日,了解西方文化。
为了活跃课堂气氛,我设计在课前唱一首英语歌曲。接着,在已学过课文B,C,D部分的基础上,与学生一起复习I like … Do you like …? What do you like? 等句子,然后让学生自由运用语言,谈论自己喜欢和不喜欢的东西。再让学生猜一猜教师喜欢的东西,从而引出I like masks very much. Look at my masks. Do you like my masks? They are for Halloween.引出本节课的课题Halloween。
根据新<<课标>>培养学生的动手能力、拓展知识面和培养跨文化意识的要求,我在课前让学生查找与Halloween相关的资料,并在课堂上通过提问的方式检查:1. What’s the meaning of Halloween? 2. What’s the date of Halloween? 3. What do people usually do in Halloween? 4. What do people need for a Halloween party? 5. Where? 并将相关内容贴在English Corner上,和学生一起动手布置English Corner。因为课文较长,所以我根据功能将课文分成三段,分段对这三部分内容进行教学,学生听课文,然后回答问题。在教授课文第二部分时,我根据课文内容设计了一张Shopping List的表格,学生在听懂对话的基础上完成Shopping List的填写,再听读课文,根据这张表格讨论我们班万圣节所需物品。接着带领学生学习购买万圣节物品部分的内容。在学生完成了上一个任务之后,我又给学生设计了一个任务:准备我们班Halloween party需要的物品,充分地让学生运用购物部分语言,完成任务。因为课文比较长,所以我在教学过程中把课文分成三段:引言--谈论万圣节--节日购物,这两个任务的设计把谈论万圣节和购物两个话题联系起来,也把这篇课文的教学有机地结合为一个整体。
学生为我们班的万圣节讨论并购买所需物品,较好地完成了本节课的两个话题教学及活动:①谈论万圣节所需物品,②购买万圣节所需物品。在这节课中,我将任务型教学中的“任务”与学生的实际生活联系起来,让每一个孩子都参与到这一活动中,运用本节课学到的语言讨论我们班的万圣节准备,效果很好。本节课上,学生自己动手查找收集资料,这一方式能够培养学生的自学能力,更好地帮助学生了解万圣节,感受节日的气氛,从而真正理解这一节日。学生踊跃介绍与万圣节相关的知识,印象深刻,兴趣盎然。英语教学不仅要教授学生英语语言知识,还要帮助学生感受中西方不同文化的差异,培养跨文化意识,更要激发学生积极持久的学习情感和态度,为孩子的终生学习打下良好的基础。
